Old Tucson

Posted December 19, 2014

Located in Tucson Mountain Park at 201 S Kinney Road, Tucson, Old Tucson is one of our local jewels. It truly is a superstar in its own right having hosted over 300 film & television productions since 1939. Films including Three Amigos, Tombstone, Rio Bravo, and The Outlaw Josey Wales are but a few that come to mind. Today’s Old Tucson has a new focus and a bright new future. It’s still a great place to have fun, but thanks to the Arizona Sonora Western Heritage Foundation we now have the opportunity to learn in real time about Arizona’s territorial days and to garner a greater appreciation about the culturally diverse people who worked & lived in the Sonoran desert. Old Tucson is really a Multi-cultural Heritage Center for Southern Arizona. If you haven’t visited Old Tucson recently, you’re in for a treat. Don’t hesitate to contact Joe at JCamarillo@OldTucson.com to learn more and be sure to visit www.OldTucson.com for details. Old Tucson is open this weekend from 10:00am to 5:00pm, closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, then beginning December 26th open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
