Active Adult Communities

Many of us who have lived a good portion of our lives in areas with cold winters have often dreamed of moving to a warmer climate, or at a minimum, spend winters where it is warm. Yes, become snowbirds! To pull up stakes and move to a new community is a big deal. It's not an easy decision, and as we get older, it's even more difficult, but the dream persists. We faced that choice and did finally decide to make the move. Although we initially were going to be snowbirds, we ultimately opted to move permanently to Tucson. Why Tucson? The weather was one factor, with over 340 sunny days and almost perfect weather from October to May. Location was important. Tucson is within an easy ride of Southern California, Nevada, and New Mexico.
